Grittiness in tallow-based products is completely natural and can occur due to temperature fluctuations. As tallow solidifies, the fatty acids can crystallize at different rates, creating a slightly grainy texture. This does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product. To smooth it out, you can warm a small amount between your fingers before applying, and it will melt beautifully into your skin!

We do a 0.5%-1% dilution for anything topical. Candles are a 2% dilution for scent throw

We use a certified organic citric acid thats derived from strictly citrus and not mold! Making it completely mold free.

Do not worry! Those are the fresh vanilla beans we use to infuse the butters and oils! We strain the best we can, but its impossible to get every single little speck unfortunately. The vanilla beans is what gives the Lip Balm its delicious scent ☺️

Sometimes during the pouring process, some excess oil can get on the outside of the tubes, due to the nature of paper, it soaks in and stains it. Not to worry, if we have tubes that have too much where it ruins the beauty of the lip balm, we pull it from sale! 😇

Woodland Spice features a rich blend of Organic Cedarwood, Clove, and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils. Clove in particular, is one of the most expensive oils we use. Rather than raising the price on all products to compensate, we decided to have Woodland Spice reflect the price that goes in to it. We hope you understand! ☺️

We totally get it, no one loves paying for shipping. Here’s the deal, we ship *most* of our products in glass bottles to avoid plastics and keep things clean, sustainable, and high quality. That means our packages are a little heavier and require extra care (and padding!) to make sure your order arrives safely.

We’ve set a flat rate of $8.95 to help cover these real shipping costs, without overcharging you. Most packages actually cost us between $9–$11 to ship, depending on the destination. We’re covering the rest to keep it fair and transparent for you.
